Overview
Paths.Design is a reading library, and reading it is always free. This page explains what you may do with the material you find here, and which parts belong to other people.
Educational Content
Articles, Guides, and Exercises
The written educational material on this site — articles, career-path study guides, and exercises — is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
You may share and adapt this material for any purpose, including commercially.
You must give appropriate credit, link to the license, and note if you made changes.
A credit such as “Paths.Design, CC BY 4.0” with a link to the page you used is sufficient.
Code Examples
Code snippets and examples that appear inside articles and guides are released under CC0 1.0 (public domain dedication). Use them freely, with no attribution requirement.
The Site Itself
The Paths.Design name, logo, visual design, and source code are not part of the CC BY 4.0 grant above. They remain the property of Paths.Design. Reading, linking to, and quoting the site is always fine; cloning the site or republishing it wholesale is not covered by the content license. If you want to do something like that, ask first — see Contact below.
Third-Party Material
Books: titles, cover images, and descriptions in the book catalogue belong to their authors and publishers. We recommend them; we don't own them.
External sites: articles link to third-party websites whose content is governed by each site's own terms.
Trademarks: any product or company names mentioned belong to their respective owners, and their use here is referential.
Open Source We Build On
This site runs on open-source software — among others React, Next.js, Supabase, TipTap, and Sass. Each is the property of its authors and is used under its own license; we're grateful to the maintainers of all of it.
